Hi all,

this is great. The blog seems to work again. Very cool!!! A lot of you do know Austin as well and therefore I thought you might want to know what is going on in his life. Our lifes are taking place in two totally different countries in this great world and they are both ...... so interesting and full of new experiences, people, adventures and events.
We are both having a great time where we are and we are both just happy that we made our steps into the unknown and that we do what we are doing at the moment. The best for both of us....I guess.... is making new friends....let me say ....amazing friends....and hopefully .... friends for life. Whenever Austin and I talk there is so much to say, so much to tell about work, study, friends (You are great guys!!!!!), people, Rwanda, UK, parties, going out, dancing, life music, being mugged (not that great) and....so.....on....... .
Life is just full of new impressions at the moment....it is basically... stunning and interesting and what more do you want. Yesterday was a big day for the man and therefore this time the pictures are coming from both our parts of the world as it was his 'Graduation'. Well done man!!!
Enjoy the pics ..... while the man is still feeling rough from partying.
xxx Take care
, Tina

Enjoy the pictures!!!!

Rwanda....walking with kids.....I just love it here. And..while I am in this amazing part of the world....

....Austin is celebrating his Graduation at LBS with all his new friends and colleagues. Well done guys!!!

And while I am visiting schools and am working with the greatest teachers and children...
.....the party is starting - just about 8 flight hours from here.
.... Hey guys....I am so proud of you!!! You made it!!!!! Well done!!
And thanks to all of you for taking good care of my man.

Cheers, xxx Tina

2 awesome days in Kibungo and Rukira

Hi all,
enjoy....... !
It is morning.....Soraya and Bruce are in Kibungo and we are off...to another school.....another day....another adventure in this amazing part of Africa. I guess pictures do say more than words.....

Travelling to Rukira.
Teaching some theoretical stuff about the 5 senses and their importance.

Giving some information about different learning styles.......

Bruce and Soraya did a great job and introduced new vocabularies through games!

After a good day of training together.....oh that is so much easier than doing training alone.... we spoiled ourselves.
Open fire and.....Marshmallows in our backyard. Kibungo is the place to be!!!!

This is amazing.....Marshmallows!!!!
Something totally normal at home.
But nothing we normally have over here.

In front of Thom's and my house in Kibungo. After a very good evening and a very short night we are heading of to do a second day of training! It is great to work as a team with my friends.

We are back at school. Because of the dry season we are totally covered in dust after the Moto drive. That is a good excuse to try to wash hands. This construction is great and I think I will ask VSO to put this pic onto the VSO side, as other countries could use this construction.
Washing hands is so important in this country and as there is no running water this construction is really useful!

Soraya in action: Singing Action Songs!

Bruce did do some Brain Gym with the teachers. It was great fun!

The dirt road was wide enough for all the Motos and therefore the three of us could drive next to each other. It was great fun and we loved the ride on the roads back to Kibungo!

Bruce and me.....2 of the 3 musketiers...
Yes, let us go nice and close to the Petrol Truck ahead..... . These drivers are a crazy bunch of people. If I am lucky I will do my very own driving license, soon. Would love to drive myself and be more flexible and independent.

Altogether....
We had two great days with a lot of fun and a great bunch of teachers.
They....once more....rocked. And my friends did rock as well.
Thank you Bruce and Soraya,
xxx Tina

Teacher Training in Rukira

Hi all,
it is quite a while since I did write my last entrance. Well, the internet connection played up....and my health as well. But after 4 liters of drips and 11 injections I am almost back to normal. I will fly home to the UK next week on Saturday and am looking so much forward to see all my friends, do heaps of sports and ...... yeah....go surfing.
I did finish my first series of workshops. That is great as I trained 2 teachers from every Primary School in my District by now and it was good fun. Soraya and Bruce did come along the last workshop which was great. So.....instead of bore you you with words....enjoy the pictures. Well, the files are too big.....and I will try to put the pics on next week....
Sorry guys....
Tina
